What we do in the School of Engineering
Overview
The School of Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Daura is a hub for academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. Our school comprises three dynamic departments:
1. Computer Engineering Technology: Equips students with skills in software development, hardware engineering, and IT solutions.
2. Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology: Focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of electrical and electronics systems. Additional services include:
Laboratory and practical training, R&D support, Technical consultancy and services.
3. Civil Engineering Technology: Prepares students for careers in construction, infrastructure development, and environmental engineering.
Our programmes emphasise hands-on training, industry partnerships, and community service, ensuring graduates are job-ready and socially responsible.

I welcome you to the home page of the School of Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Daura. We are passionate about shaping the next generation of engineers/Technologies who will drive innovation, solve real-world problems, and contribute to the development of our communities. Our school offers a supportive learning environment, cutting-edge facilities, and industry-relevant programs. We’re committed to academic excellence, innovation, and community service. Since our humble beginning in 2021, the school started with two departments; today the school has grown to 3 departments offering Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology. All the programmes have full accreditation status from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
To ensure an educationally conducive and socially congenial atmosphere for excellent learning, the school is not oblivious of the need to provide students with necessary extracurricular social interaction corridors and sporting facilities. Our students partake in membership of several professional and nonprofessional associations where they interact among their peers and discover their leadership potential. The school organizes routine sports competitions among staff and students to enhance a healthy staff-student relationship. Our favourite games are football (soccer), basketball, and table tennis (engineers are good with their hands). We also have intra-school games where students from the 6 schools compete against each other.
