What we do in the School of Vocational Education, Skills and Professional Development
Overview
School of Vocational Education, Skills and Professional Development has Department of General Studies, Professional Development Unit and Entrepreneurship Development Centre where Vocational Education Unit is subsumed. The Vocational Education Unit of the school handles Entrepreneurship Courses both theory and practical. The Unit also runs National Skill Qualification Framework NSQF in eight trade areas which are approved by NBTE and accredited by NION and NABTEB. The trade areas are;

Our Objectives
The objectives of the School of Vocational Education, Skills and Professional Development is to;
- Provide 21st century skills to youths for job prospects and reduce unemployment.
- Training of students and individuals to acquire functional skills for self-employment and wealth creation.
- inculcate in the students and staff the culture and skills of entrepreneurship.
- broaden the understanding of students in key areas of humanity and language.
- enhance personal and professional development of both the students and staff.

We are proudly led by Dr. Azeez Fatai Ayiki, a distinguished academic and educationist, who serves as the Dean of the School. Dr. Ayiki holds a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation, a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (M.Ed.), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Guidance and Counselling with English Language (B.Ed.). His extensive expertise and leadership bring a wealth of experience and vision to the School, guiding our mission to empower learners through education that blends theory, practice, and real-world relevance.
